Fees
What Plaxswap charges on a swap, and what you pay others at cost. The swap form shows each part before you send anything, and the order page shows what was charged.
Our fee
Inside the rate. This is what we earn on a swap.
- Major coins (BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, USDT, USDC…)
- 1.00%
- Two different stablecoins (USDT ↔ USDC)
- 0.40%
- The same coin to another network (USDT on Tron → USDT on BNB Chain)
- 0.30%
- Every other coin
- 1.50%
- Locked (fixed) rate
- +0.50%: we carry the price risk until your deposit arrives
- Prices moving fast
- up to +0.60%, only while the last hour was unusually volatile
- A network is very busy
- +0.10% at 2× its usual gas, +0.25% at 5×, +0.50% at 10×; never more than $10.00 on one swap
- Smallest fee per swap
- $1.00, and never more than 5.00% of the swap
- Example: $100 of major coins
- $1.00 (1.00% of $100)
- Example: $1,000 of major coins
- $10.00 (1.00% of $1,000)
- Example: $20 of major coins
- $1.00 (5.00% of $20)
Network fees
You pay the blockchains' fees for your swap. They are not part of our fee.
- What is charged
- Collecting your deposit, any transfer between our wallets, the swap transaction itself, and sending you the coins
- How much
- Today's live estimate plus a 20% safety margin, so a fee rise before your payout leaves is covered. When gas stays calm, the unused margin stays with us; it pays for the times gas rises
- Where you see it
- "Network fees" on the swap form, in dollars and in the coin you receive. It is already taken off the amount shown
Gas spike protection
If a network's fees jump after your swap is priced.
- Status
- On
- What happens
- Our transaction for your swap waits while the network's gas is more than 10% above what you were charged for, for up to 60 minutes. The order page tells you.
- Your amount
- Never changes. You are not charged more because the network got busy after your swap was priced
Where your swap is converted
Chosen automatically for each swap; the swap form names it.
- Two coins of the same network (ETH → USDC on Ethereum…)
- A Uniswap pool, from our own wallet. "Uniswap pool fee" on the form: the pool's own fee (usually 0.01% to 0.05%) and its price impact, plus a 0.30% price margin. You receive what the swap really buys, which is usually more than the estimate
- Every other swap
- Our exchange account. "Exchange fee" on the form: the exchange's trading fee, 0.30%. Its withdrawal fee for your coin is part of the network fees
- Guaranteed minimum
- You receive at least the estimate less 1%, or your coins back in full
Refunds
When a swap cannot go ahead.
- Our side (price moved, a network is paused, our review)
- No handling fee. Only the network fee of sending your coins back
- Your side (too little sent, the wrong coin, a late deposit)
- A handling fee of 1% of the deposit, at least $1.00 and at most $25.00, plus the network fee of the refund
Limits and identity checks are in the compliance policy.
