Draft of 13 October 2026

Draft for legal review

This text is a working draft. A lawyer has not reviewed it yet, it names no licence, and it will change before the service handles real money. Do not rely on it as a final agreement.

Who is responsible

Plaxswap decides how the data described here is used. Contact: [email protected]. The legal entity and, where required, a data protection contact will be named here after legal review.

What we collect

  • Swap details: the coins and amounts, your payout address and memo, your refund address, the transactions involved and the times.
  • Connection details: your IP address, used to work out your country for the country rules. We store a one-way hash of it, not the address itself, unless the operator turns raw storage on to meet a legal duty.
  • A connection hash: a one-way hash of your IP address, used to apply limits over 30 days and to spot abuse.
  • Identity verification: when needed, your name, date of birth, country and identity document, collected by our verification provider. We keep the result and the details the law requires.
  • Travel-rule details: for payouts to an exchange account above the threshold, the account holder's name and the exchange's name.
  • Screening results: each time an address is checked against sanctions lists and risk data, we keep the answer and the time.
  • Telegram, if you use our bot: your chat id, user name and language, the orders you follow, your price alerts, and a swap you are planning in the bot for up to 30 minutes.
  • Messages: anything you send to support.

We do not ask for an account, an email address or a phone number to swap.

Why we use it

  • To carry out your swap and refund it when needed.
  • To meet anti-money-laundering and sanctions duties: screening, reviews, limits and record keeping.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse of the service.
  • To answer you when you contact us.

Who we share it with

  • Our identity verification provider, when a check is needed.
  • Our blockchain analytics provider, which receives addresses and transaction ids, not your name.
  • The receiving exchange, for travel-rule details on payouts to an exchange account, once we are connected to a travel-rule network. Until then we keep these details ourselves and do not send them anywhere.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Transactions on public blockchains can be seen by anyone. That is a property of the networks, not something we control.

How long we keep it

Swap records, addresses and verification results are kept for the period anti-money-laundering rules require: currently set to five years after the swap, shown in the compliance policy. Other data is deleted sooner, when it is no longer needed.

Cookies and storage

We use only what the site needs to work. Your theme choice and, for each order you create, the order key are kept in your browser's local storage. The admin console uses a session cookie. Development builds may set a cookie for the country test switch. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may have to keep some records for the legal period above even after a deletion request. Write to [email protected] with your order number.
