How the swap form works

The swap form on this website runs each swap through a third-party route. You connect your wallet or send from any wallet. No account and no ID check.

Updated

The swap form on the home page is a decentralized swap. A third-party route carries out each swap: KyberSwap, 0x, LI.FI, Relay or NEAR Intents. Plaxswap finds the routes, shows their prices and fees, and takes a 0.3% fee inside the swap. Plaxswap does not hold your coins on the way, with one exception for coins sent from an exchange, explained below.

Two ways to pay

For a coin on an Ethereum-style network, such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon or Avalanche, the form asks how you pay:

  • Send from any wallet (the default). Nothing to connect. Enter the address that should receive the new coin, then send the amount shown to a one-time deposit address from any wallet or exchange. The address belongs to Relay or NEAR Intents for this one swap, not to Plaxswap.
  • Connect wallet. Connect your own wallet and approve the swap in it. A route such as KyberSwap, 0x or LI.FI carries it out from your wallet. Nothing leaves your wallet until you confirm.

Coins on Bitcoin, Solana, Tron and other networks are always sent to a one-time deposit address. For these, and for a swap sent from any wallet that goes through NEAR Intents, the form also asks for your own refund address on the network you send from. If the swap cannot be completed, the coins go back there.

Choosing a route

The form lists every route that can carry out your swap, best first. Each one shows the rate, our fee, the route's own fee, the network fees, the usual time, about how much you receive and the minimum you receive. You choose one. The minimum is set by the route: if it cannot deliver at least that, the swap is cancelled or the coins are returned. The fees are explained in fees on the swap form.

No account, no ID check, no limit from us

  • There is no sign-up, no account and no identity check.
  • Plaxswap sets no maximum. Each route has its own minimum, and the form tells you when an amount is too small.
  • The form is open in every country except Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus and Myanmar, which are closed because of international sanctions or FATF rules. That includes, for example, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. Your country is read from your connection.

What is checked

  • Your country, as above.
  • The address that receives the coins, your refund address and, when you connect a wallet, that wallet. Each is checked against the US sanctions list (OFAC). If one is on it, the swap cannot start.
  • Nothing else. Plaxswap does not hold swaps on the form for review.
  • During an incident, Plaxswap can pause the form. New swaps then cannot start.

Following your swap

A swap from a connected wallet has a transaction id, which the form links to the network's explorer when you sign.

A swap sent to a deposit address has its own swap page, at plaxswap.com/swap/deposit/ followed by the deposit address. Bookmark it: it shows the progress, and our support team needs it to find your swap.

There is no order number and no order page. Swaps on the form are not saved to an account, earn no referral commission and are not followed by the Telegram bot.

Addresses, networks and memos

  • Send only the coin and network shown on the swap page. Coins sent on another network, or another coin, cannot be recovered.
  • If the swap page shows a memo or tag, include it. Without it the coins cannot be matched to the swap.
  • A NEAR Intents deposit address is valid for one hour. Send exactly the amount shown, once.
  • The form has no memo field for the address that receives the coins. On a network that uses one, such as the XRP Ledger, receive to your own wallet, not to an exchange account that asks for a tag. See memos, tags and comments.

Sending from an exchange

You can send from an exchange account. One case needs care: if a Relay swap sent from an exchange to a deposit address starting with 0x cannot be completed, Relay cannot return the coins to the exchange, so they go to a wallet of Plaxswap's. Write to support@plaxswap.com with the link to your swap page and we send them back to an address of yours, less only the network fee. This is the only case where Plaxswap receives your coins. More in if a swap on the swap form does not complete.
