Supported countries and why some are blocked

Swaps are not available in some countries: because of sanctions, because a licence we do not hold is needed there, or because local law restricts crypto exchange.

Updated

We check your country on every quote and order, from your connection. The full, current list of countries and their limits is in our compliance policy.

Why a country is blocked

  • Sanctions. Countries under international sanctions, and jurisdictions on the FATF call-for-action list.
  • Licences. Places where a swap service needs a registration or licence that we do not hold, for example the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, Canada, India and Australia.
  • Local restrictions. Countries that prohibit or heavily restrict crypto exchange services.

Each blocked country shows its reason on the compliance page. We would rather say no clearly than let you start a swap we cannot complete.

Limits everywhere else

In most countries there is no limit for swaps without an identity check, apart from each pair's maximum. If we cannot tell where you are, we ask for an identity check before you swap.

VPNs

Hiding your location with a VPN or a similar service to get around these rules breaks our terms. If you think we placed you in the wrong country, contact support.
